Gramatical Analysis: This is the study of the phonology, morphology and syntax of the Yami language, and the text and unpublished texts were used as materials. The phoneme inventory was made after the method of the Trubetzkoy school. 2) For the phonological comparison the method of Prof. Otto Dempwolff was adopted. Regarding the grammatical terminology the writer used terms favoured by the Hamburg school, 3) as the terms of the Latin grammar are not adequate for explanation of the Indonesian languages.
